Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle make people get used to acts no one should get used to*

Last Friday in Bil'in - the 426th demo of which I participated in more than 400. As usual we were shot at with tear gas grenades and canisters part of which I had to evade as they were shot in my direction. Part of the tear gas of the others I mostly evaded too. Now, on my chair in front of the computer I am taunted with the thought that me, scores of Israeli activists of the anarchists against the wall initiative and others - who participate in the joint struggle just got used to be shot at week after week. Some who are less lucky or less agile took more punishment than me... The Israeli media is used to it too reporting on the shooting and us and the Palestinian partners as if it is just the whether. The banality of evil is the prevailing character of Israel these days reminding to more and more people places and occurrences of other countries in other times.

Al-Arkib

49 times the village was already destroyed but the symbol of the struggle against the transfer of the Israeli Bedouins is still kicking.

Burning a tractor load of tires at the gate in the nearby Apartheid-Annexation Wall where occupation soldiers regularly exit to attack protesters at the Friday demonstrations, harass farmers and youths and mount terror raids on the long suffering village. Sky lanterns were also released at the spot where he was mercilessly cut down by a occupation soldier who deliberately shot a high velocity tear gas projectile into his chest and also at his grave in the center of the village. Afterwards his mother was visited to commiserate and to honor Bassem and his sister Jawaher who died from the effects of toxic tear gas at a Friday demonstration.

15-4-13 - removal of Baatof Bedouins
Since November, 2012, the IDF demanded several times, the Bedouin villagers of All Aatof (near Amakim settlement in the Jordan Valley), numbering about 170 people, leave their village from morning to evening. For example, in 9.4.2013 the IDF ordered All Aatof residents and their animals to get out for a whole day, and exercised in the vicinity of the village. Shooting and explosions were heard.

Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle sweeten a bit the biter memories*.

It is already 65 years since the official Nacba day and the old memories of sorrow were joined with newer ones. However, the defeat was not complete. The Tsumud - the persistent stand fast still frustrate the effort of the Zionist settler colonialists from completing the "cleansing" of Palestine from the Palestinians. The joint non armed struggle which entered the world public media is on the verge of blocking the continuation of the cleansing project and even rolling it back. Thanks to all the brothers and sisters who participate in the joint struggle and the other popular struggles that gradually develop who keep my soul young in spite of the long way traveled. Special thanks to the people of Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Beit Ummar, Ma'asara, Naby Saleh, and Qaddum who keep the Eternal Flame of struggle and hope.

Nabi Saleh

Activists on the ground in Nabi Saleh are reporting that the IOF are firing huge volleys of rubber coated steel bullets at unarmed from less than 10 meters away. One international has been injured with THREE rubber coated steel bullets in leg and thigh.
The weekly Friday demonstration in the village of Nabi Saleh against the occupation and land theft began at the village's Shuhadaa square, where protesters chanted 'here we stay' against repeated attempts to displace and dispossess Palestinians. However, as the procession moved along the main street and towards the road, the IOF suddenly advanced and attacked marchers without any provocation, shooting barrages of rubber-coated steel bullets. As a result of this brutal assault, three were injured, one of them an international solidarity activist who was hit three times. She was taken to hospital in Ramallah for treatment. Dozens also suffocated from tear gas fired at the demonstrators by the invading soldiers.

Silwad Protest, 12-4-2013

Fierce resistance was sparked yesterday by the vicious beating of a 60-year-old former judge Ahmad al-Zir after so called "settlers" attacked him the previous day with an iron bar which fractured his skull and left him unconscience as he was tending his land between Ofra colony and the Palestinian village of Silwad.

"They were hitting him again and again on the head, cursing him and telling him to shut up," said Mahmoud Hussein, a relative and an eyewitness of the alleged attack.

Village youths tracked down the Israelis to their encampment and burned down one of their improvised homes. Israeli forces were sent to the scene late Thursday to disperse the angered Palestinians. They fired at the protesters, wounding two with live bullets, including one in the chest, medics said.

Palestine-Israel, The hopes of Spring still have not been scorched by Summer disillusions.

The long project of the Zionist settler colonialist transfer of Palestinians accelerate in war times but continue between wars too. Sometimes faster, some time slower. Some time it is focused on one area some times on another... But it never stop. The struggle against it is not even but the Palestinian resistance to transfer: Tsumud - persistence continue all the time. Last 11 years, and more so following the suppression of the second (the armed) Intifada, the third (non armed) Intifada is collecting momentum. It started mainly around the joint struggle with Israelis of the anarchists against the wall initiative which supplied a relative immunity from a prompt bloody suppression. It is now too wide spread for a focal bloody suppression to stop it. Though it is spreading widely last year or so, the joint struggle with Israelis is still a significant part in it.

Demonstration in support of all political prisoners 2-4-13.
Local activists took to the streets tonight to demonstrate their rage at the death of Maysara Abu Hamdiah from Hebron earlier today (2 April, 2013). Ab Hamdiah was a long time prisoner in the occupation jails and was serving a life sentence when he was recently diagnosed with a late stage throat cancer. However, the occupation prison authorities withheld proper medical care, and Abu Hamdiah slipped into a coma and passed away. As news of his death spread, many took to the streets in anger and clashed with the occupation army and policing forces in Hebron, Jerusalem and Qalandia, among other places. Yafa-based activists held a vigil to commemorate Abu Hamdiah, exhibit rage at his maltreatment, and also show solidarity with the Palestinian political prisoners, many of whom launched a hunger strike in protest of Abu Hamdiah's death. Regular vigils in support of Palestinian political prisoners are held every Thursday, 6p, at Clock Tower square in Yafa. Please join us if you can.

Sheikh Jarrah

The residents of Sheikh Jarrah are continuing their protest vigils in the neighborhood every Friday, protesting their violent evictions from their homes, the taking over of the neighborhood by the settlers, and the Judaization of East Jerusalem. They call upon each and every person who supports their struggle to join them.

South Hebron Hills

This week we will accompany Palestinians farmers and shepherds to their lands in several locations in South Hebron hills. Harassment of Palestinian farmers and shepherds in the area by both settlers and the army continues.
This coming Saturday, April 6, we need as many activists as possible to accompany them and stand up for their rights. There is a direct link between the number of activists who come to accompany the farmers and their ability to harvest and work their lands.
On the way back from a Taayush activity in South Hebron hills. A hard day in Um el-Hammad. Soldiers pushed kids and threatened them. They caught a six year old child and squashed his arm while dragging him.

On the way back from a activity in South Hebron hills. A hard day in Um el-Hammad. Soldiers pushed kids and threatened them. They caught a six year old child and squashed his arm while dragging him.
They kicked the sheep, they kneed them, grabbed them by their fur violently, pushed them and threw stones at them.
All this was done by the soldiers as they were laughing out loud, expelling Palestinians, mostly children with a herd of sheep.
The office said he would arrest me for assault, but they were unable to find anything in their footage...
But in spite of it all, the kids fought back and every time they were pushed back, they returned and advanced. Hats off to them for their stand against violent armed men.
