Palestine-Israel,The joint struggle and the vicious Israeli transfer efforts

Arkib (1948 Bedouins), Bil'in, Dahams (Ramla 1948 village), East Jerusalem (occupied 1967 mainly Sheikh Jarah, Shuafat, and the Bedouins of the region) Ma'asarah, Nabi Saleh, Ni'ilin, Qaddum, South of Hebron Hills - the main locations of the joint struggles the anarchists against the wall are involved in. As the Israeli pretending of striving for any kind of peace was exposed, the transfer efforts are intensified. It seems the hazards taking and gambling of Israel on the continuation of the occupation is increasing. The Israeli government count on the pro Israeli lobby of the US right and the strategic value of Israel in the present troubled time and recklessly disregard the mounting international pressure... though the Israeli officials and the public keep worrying in public about the economic and political pressures.

Bil'in

Friday 26.9.14: Nine Israelis, ten international and dozen Bil'iners (due to the competition of the demonstration at the same hours in Azaria in solidarity with the Bedouins) We made our presence in challenge of the presence of the armed forces of the State of Israel. When the armed forces decided that the confrontation is prolonged excessively, they started firing tear gas at us. Due to the changing wind currents, and our broad spread, they had to send at us their armored Jeeps and the bullies in order to force us to return to the village. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?

Ma'sara

Occupation forces Suppressed Al Ma'sara march which was set up by the popular committees against the wall on a weekly basis. Israeli occupation forces prevented the march from reaching confiscated land. The march raised slogans condemning the daily crimes committed by the occupation against the Palestinian. The popular Committees confirmed that settlement expansion in Bethlehem is a proof of the occupation's failure in implementing the settlement plans in other area and they called for unity of all the Palestinian people in front of these settler expansions.

Around 35 Palestinians, Israelis and internationals demonstrated today in Nabi Saleh against occupation, land grab, Wall and apartheid. Nabi Saleh is a 500 inhabitants village in the occupied West Bank. The non violent demonstrations have been taking place every Friday since 2009 . Today the IOF was suppressing the demonstrators using tear gas and rubber coated metal bullets.

South Hebron hills

Harassment of Palestinian farmers and shepherds in South Hebron hills by both settlers and the army continues. These forces take over their lands and prevent them from accessing it.
This coming Saturday, September 27, we will be heading again to our activity in several locations in the area, accompany Palestinian farmers and shepherds to their lands and help them stand up for their rights. Without the presence of activists, many farmers don't get the chance to cultivate their land. There is a direct link between the number of activists who come to accompany the farmers and their ability to live a relatively normal life.
Today (Saturday 27.9.14) at the South Hebron Hills, accompanying Palestinians shepherds to their land - a quiet morning with 6 herds in Um-el-Arais. Later we joined a small demonstration in Susya, near a new tent the Settlers had built on Palestinian land. In both places we met Rami, a Druze officer in the civil administration. The best collaborator the Israeli army can have to sustain the Occupation.

Don't Say We Didn't Know 421

On Sunday, September 14, 2014, four Palestinian shepherds from Qawawis village in the South Hebron Hills were grazing their herd near the illegal outpost Mitzpe Yair, accompanied by two international volunteers. They were grazing in an area that is Palestinian-owned. Suddenly two settlers from the outpost appeared and assaulted one of the shepherds. The volunteers filmed the goings-on. Then the settlers attacked the volunteers, grabbed their cameras and smashed a volunteer's cell phone. The assailants then ran off to the outpost. The shepherds and their accompaniers returned to their village. A while later, policemen arrived at the village and detained the assaulted shepherd and the volunteers for questioning for several hours, since the attackers claimed to the police that stones had been hurled at them.

Don’t Say We Didn't Know 422
For nearly ten years now, the people of the Palestinian village Bil'in in the occupied West Bank have been struggling against the separation fence and the erection of the Jewish settlement of Modi'in Ilit on their lands beyond the fence. The Israeli army often assaults the village and arrests inhabitants in order to suppress their struggle and obtain information about the protest activists in the village.
On Sunday, September 14th, 2014, two boys from Bil'in, 15-year old Ibrahim and 13-year old Ahmad Abu Rahma were on their way to school in the village. Soldiers who had entered the village arrested Ibrahim. A military judge ruled he could be released on bail of 5000 NIS. The boys had not carried out any act of aggression against the soldiers.

Palestine-Israel: The joint struggle confront the transfer efforts of the Israeli settler colonialist project*.

Though Israel failed in its last open assault on the Gaza Strip, it still succeed in its transfer efforts. The drowning of a refugee ship with 450 mainly Gaza people reflect the partial success of Israel transfer efforts that for the never ended efforts since 1948. The siege on Gaza join the pressure on both Palestinians within the 1948 borders and that of the 1967. The big masses were driven out during the 1948 and 1967 wars, but efforts continued with all means possible. Some expelled by force some were moved within the border as pressure to "voluntary transfer". Within the 1967 borders, the Israeli efforts are targeted on the villages and Bedouins living in area C where the joint struggle to resist it is mainly focused in the South of Hebron Hills. And the joint struggle in Arkib, Dahamsh (1948 borders), and Bil'in, Ma'asara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'ilin, Qaddum, Sheikh Jarah (East Jerusalem) continue "as usual".

Bil'in

Friday 12-9-14 in. Bil'in: 6 Israeli and dozen internationals converged with the villagers at the Abu Lamun orchard. Before the demonstration started the Israeli state forces flooded the people with tear gas. Many went round the cloud of tear gas waking along the separation wall from a distance. As the wind changed the tear gas failed to drive the people away till military cars brought the soldiers nearer. Though there was no march or demo the commander threatened the people who were on the way to the village with arrests for participation in the "unlawful demo" that never really happened this Friday.
Any way, the Israeli activists paid this week their "rent" for the presence in Palestine.

Bil'in, Friday, 19-9-14 two stages of the demonstration in which 15 Israelis, 20 internationals, and local activists, converged near the separation wall in the Abu Lamun oaks groove and started to walk towards the near by separation wall.
The Israeli state forces did not like the location of the demo so they floated us with tear gas forcing us to go to the north - not far from the gate in the wall.
after a long while they did not like the second location which was out of the range of the tear gas grenades so they came with their armored cars shooting tear gas and bullets coated with rubber and arrested three of us - one from each nationality... The local one succeeded to escape and Israeli and the international activists were taken to a far away police station for "interrogation".

Ni'lin

Friday 19-9-2014 - Even before the demonstration began, soldiers and Border Police forces assembled next to the convergence point. Without warning or provocation on the part of those who came to demonstrate, the occupation forces began to charge. They used massive amounts of tear gas. A group of three soldiers ran into the village and at some point I realized that they marked me.I stopped and did not resist arrest. Only about 4 hours later they bothered to tell me that I was accused of violating the military order that marks the entire area a "closed Military zone". I kept silent, refused to sign any document without consulting a lawyer. I was locked up with another two charming protesters from Bil'in and we were released later that night under the condition that we will not return to the area in the next 15 days. Assuming that the military order was not written after the fact, I allow myself to suppose These six photos that were taken before the arrest were taken before the validity of the order!

Qaddum

At the weekly demo against the occupation in kufr Quaddum,
the village's electricity was cut off last night. 3500 ppl live with no electricity for one day so far, and it remains unclear whether this was a mere accident or sabotage.
Hopefully the power grid will be fixed soon.
Now in the demo the army is firing tons of tear gas and rubber coated steel bullets in us, over 200 unarmed protesters demonstrating in the village.

Don't Say We Didn't Know 419
This is how it works: The Israeli authorities intend to create a new settlement in Nu'eima, north of Jericho, for Bedouins expelled from the E1 Area (between Jerusalem and Ma'ale Adumim settlement). In the meantime Bedouin dwellings are being demolished before alternative ones are even being prepared. On Thursday, August 28, 2014, Israeli soldiers came to the Bedouin neighborhood next to Palestinian village A-Zayyim east of Jerusalem, and demolished five dwellings and three sheep-pens. 38 persons remained homeless. This is the third demolition the army has carried out at the site in the past two years.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't Say We Didn’t Know 420

In a press news item, the Israel Land Authority reported having demolished seven Bedouin dwellings in the Negev. Another 18 homes were demolished by their own inhabitants. The locations of the demolitions were not specified. ILA inspectors habitually threaten Bedouins that if they do not demolish their own homes, the "job" will be done by the ILA and inhabitants will be charged with the cost of the demolition and debris removal. Some fear this and do their own demolition.

Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle continue in lower intensity: last Friday only 3 Israelis came to Bil'in demo

Bil'in-Ni'ilin-Ma'asara-Nabi Saleh-Qaddum-Sheikh Jarrah- south of Hebron Hills

The 50 days war on Gaza ended, after Israel begged for a cease fire and yielded to major demands of the Hamas (some kept in secret even from Israeli government ministers). Majority of Israelis admit that Israel did not win the war but hard to admit the Hamas had the upper hand. Ministers passed two weeks ago Cabinet classified document containing a proposal to place an international force in Gaza which may mean the end of Israel occupation of the Gaza strip and opening the Ghetto... and may be a precedent to what may be the end of occupying of the west bank). In Israel, the "radical" left is back to "normal"... though many more activists are contemplating joining the comrades who had already lost hope and emigrated. It seems the international pressures of the imperial powers and the advances of the boycott movement are bringing sooner than expected the end of 1967 occupation.

Sheikh Jarrah

For five years residents of Sheikh Jarrah struggle against settlers takeover of their homes.
During the five years of struggle, the neighborhood knew many demonstrations, and outrageous settlers attacks.
Now the State of Israel has finally found someone to blame.
In the next week Salah Diab, a leader of the fight in the neighborhood, will enter to prison term for eight months.
Saleh, accused of assault by settlers "neighbors". He claims that he was not there. The court criticized the improper conduct of the police during the investigation, but then chose to believe the version of the settlers and the judgment of Saleh determined.
On Friday 29.8.2014 we returned to Sheikh Jarrah to say farewell to Saleh and ensure that the struggle will continue. About 100 participated in the vigil and in the march in the neighborhood (including a contingent of five of us just fresh from the Bil'in demo.)
